With 25 years of social work experience, I have dedicated 17 years as an LCSW, specializing in mental health counseling. Additionally, I bring 15 years of school social work experience, where I can assist with that IEP process. My commitment extends to teaching other therapists how to make a difference for the past 10 years, with 7 years in private practice providing essential mental health support. Margreta lives in Warrenton, VA with her husband, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. She is certified in Equine Assisted Learning by the OK Corral series, but she is not currently practicing in that modality. Margreta enjoys horses and riding, singing, and hiking in the Northeast USA. With her background as a military dependent for 10 years, she deeply understands the unique challenges faced by military families. Having lived and worked in 9 different states and visited many others, she has a wealth of experience to share. We will decide together how long we will meet. Margreta likes to work with most clients for about 10 - 20 sessions, but longer is OK too, if you prefer.
Margreta is pro-LGTBQ+ and will support clients from any background in their personal growth. She is a progression chrisian who strives to support the dignity of every human being. Margreta is a seminary student at Virginia Theological Seminary, and as such, is very comfortable taking a pastoral approach in therapy. She will not bring up faith approaches unless you do, you are in charge of your experience.
Margreta does not offer crisis intervention services. For life threatening emergencies outside of therapy, call 911. For acute mental health support, call 988. Margreta is not prepared to testify in court, nor does she offer any professional services outside virtual mental health appointments.
